Providing Proof of Non-profit Status

For customers purchasing in the United States, verification can be done by:
A copy of the customer's determination letter, officially recognizing the 
corporation's tax-exempt status under 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code 
Or Documenting the customer's 501(c)(3) status through the IRS website 

Churches without 501(c)(3), please call 800-691-7676.

The following nonprofit and charity organizations are excluded from this program:
Private foundations 
Hospitals not wholly-owned by a university* 
Health-care systems 
Research labs 
Political, labor, or fraternal organizations 
Nonprofit lobbyist groups 
*Hospitals wholly owned by a university are eligible for nonprofit pricing. 

For customers purchasing in Canada, verification must be done by:
The customer's registration form and registration number in accordance with 
the Excise Tax Act (ETA), subsection 123(1) and 259(1)

Proof of non-profit status may be either:
